About this work
According to Burckhardt, the two outer wing panels Inv. 1367 and 1366, together with their detached inner sides, were still in the Spitalkapelle in Belfort in 1888. Inside, they depicted the Entombment and the Resurrection against landscape vistas without gold ground; the Resurrection is said to have shown a naked (angel?) putto.
