About this work

Jacquard woven ribbon with floral and botanical design of bouquets of polychrome flowers with smaller white flowers surrounded by green leaves and stems on black ground; bouquets connected by curling leaves and vines in light brown; narrow band in gold along edges. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
