Low porcelain bowl, painted in underglaze blue. On the front a landscape in a double circle with a hare among flowering plants. The inner rim with a band with a meander pattern. On the outer wall three insects. Marked on the underside with the six-character mark of Emperor Chenghua in a double circle. Gritty sand on the foot ring. From the 'Hatcher junk' which sank around 1645. Transitional porcelain in blue and white.
