About this work
Teapot of red stoneware with rounded shoulders and wide neck, curved spout and C-shaped handle. On the underside an incised inscription 'Meihua cheng baiyu', 'the plum blossoms are like white jade'. The inside is lighter in colour than the outside. Yixing.
