About this work

Octagonal soup plate of porcelain with indented corners, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, purple, black, and gold. The center features the coat of arms of the Sayer family, with a white chevron and three birds on a red background. The crest is a lion. The coat of arms is surrounded by acanthus leaves and flowering branches. The rim has loose flowering branches and a spearhead border. Heraldic porcelain with enamel colors.
