About this work

Porcelain plate with molded rim, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black and gold. On the flat surface the coat of arms of the Langton family with three red chevrons against a white background surrounded by leafy garlands. The crest is a helmet with a winged heart shape above it; on the rim a European band with garlands and shell motifs with hanging grape clusters. Old label on the underside with 'Langton/ van Wijck?'. Several chips on the rim. Heraldic porcelain in enamel colors.
