About this work
Porcelain plate, painted on the glaze in red, black and gold. On the field the coat of arms of the Bijnkershoek family. The coat of arms and crest consist of a golden sword and feather or quill with stars. The mantling consists of leaves in black or silver and gold. On the wall a band with floral scrolls; the rim with four flower branches (aster, peony, carnation). Old label on the underside with 'van Bynkershoek'. A crack and a chip in the rim. Armorial porcelain in min encre de Chine.
