Porcelain plate, painted on the glaze in black and gold. On the flat surface a flower vase with a fruit basket on either side, above the vase a crowned cartouche decorated with two clasped hands, flower branches, shell motifs and garlands with the monogram 'GB' and the initial 'A'; the wall with a 'spearhead-border'; on the rim a band with flower and fruit branches. A chip in the rim. Old label on the underside with 'Comte de Mercy d'Argenteau/ Paris-Luik/ In 1776 under Louis XVI'. European representation in encre de Chine.
