About this work
Porcelain cup, painted in enamel colors on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black, and gold. The wall of the cup divided into two sections, the upper one with a ribbed wall and an acanthus-shaped rim. On the wall the monogram 'JM' in a crowned cartouche with a shell motif, lacework, and floral sprigs; around the cartouche and on the wall, lacework with four small and four large cut-out cartouches containing floral sprigs. Two cracks in the wall of the cup. European representation in enamel colors.
