Porcelain plate, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze in black, red and gold. The front originally with an engraved decoration and on the rim a band of napkin work in underglaze blue. Decorated in Europe in black, red and gold enamel with on the flat the biblical scene of Samuel anointing Saul in a landscape before a fence with a building on a hill in the background, below the scene the inscription: I SAMIEL IO-I; the rim with stylized flower branches and a band with leafy tendrils. Some chips in the rim. Decorated in Europe.
