Plate with an image of a bathing woman

Porcelain plate, painted on the glaze in red, black and gold. On the flat surface, a naked, bathing woman, possibly Diana, in a landscape, sitting by the water; on either side of her, a putto; in the background, a village; the wall with a 'spearhead-border'; the rim with vines and hunting attributes. Old label on the underside with 'F. Bodenham/ Elmhurst, Hereford/ 78'. The design is possibly based on a print by Benoit Audran (1661-1721) after a design by Nicholas Fouché (1653-1733).
