About this work

Bell-shaped porcelain cup and saucer, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, black and gold. On the flat of the saucer a cartouche with here a view of a harbour with on the foreground two European men; around the cartouche scrolls in Meissen style. The cup with two same cartouches with two European men at different harbours; on the bottom a flower scroll. A crack in the wall of the saucer and the cup. European subject in enamel colours.
