About this work

Bell-shaped porcelain cup with a raised rim, painted in blue, red, pink, green, black and gold on the glaze. On the exterior, two cartouches with scrolling foliage containing European landscapes; one with a harbour view with two men and a dog on a pier, a fort and ships in the background; the other with a river landscape with houses and people; the inner rim with scrolling foliage. A crack and a chip in the rim. European subject in enamel colours.
