About this work

Bell-shaped porcelain cup, painted in red, pink, green, yellow, purple, black and gold on the glaze. On the exterior wall, two cartouches with a European river landscape with a boat and several working figures, a fort, a sailing ship and houses in the background; scrolling foliage in the Meissen style around the cartouche; the inner rim with floral scrolls. A crack in the wall. European subject in enamel colours.
