About this work

Porcelain plate, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow and black. On the front a representation of Leda and the Swan; in a rocky landscape with trees, Leda sits on a rock, surrounded by young women and a naked boy with wings and a horn, a swan on her lap. The representation is based on an engraving by Gaspar Duchange (1662-1757), after a painting by Antonio Correggio (1498-1534). European representation in enamel colours. A crack in the wall.
