About this work

Plate of thin porcelain, covered with a pink glaze and painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, turquoise, black and gold. On the flat a woman with three boys surrounded by luck symbols such as a vase with chilongs (hornless dragon), ruyi scepter, vase with peacock feathers and coral; the wall with a band of lacework alternating with three times a flower branch in a cartouche; the rim with two bands of lacework with thereon three cartouches in the shape of a fruit, flower and leaf; in the cartouches a flower branch (aster, chrysanthemum); the back is covered with a pink glaze. Plate has been broken. Famille rose with a ruby back.
