About this work

Porcelain plate, painted overglaze in blue, red, pink, green, yellow, brown, black and gold. On the flat surface two women in a walled garden by two cranes, before them a fence, beside them a boy in a passage to a staircase; through the window of a pavilion a third person can be seen, seated at a table; the wall with a band of leaf scrolls; the rim with flower sprays (prunus, peony, aster), leaf scrolls and butterflies against a background of lacework; on the rim a band with meander pattern. Several chips in the rim. Famille rose.
