About this work
Porcelain teapot, with a flattened, globular body and lid, painted on the glaze in red, green, yellow and black. The underside and bottom of the body of the pot are modeled in the form of rows of flower petals; the body is covered with floral scrolls against a pink ground with here cut out two cartouches with chrysanthemums; on the handle and spout a flower branch. The lid with a flower rosette, around which four lotus scrolls; the rim with lacework alternating with a flower in a cartouche. Silver mount. Famille rose.
