About this work
Porcelain pattipan, rectangular and hexagonal with lobed wall, painted overglaze in blue, pink, green, yellow, black and gold. On the flat a leaf-shaped cartouche surrounded by flower branches, containing a pheasant on a rock among flowering plants; on the flat and wall napery in encre de Chine; the inner rim with a band of flower vines. Underside unglazed. A crack in the wall. European forms with famille rose.
