About this work

Porcelain plate with straight, flaring sides, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, and black. On the flat surface compartments in the shape of a flower, with a lotus in the center and floral scrolls in the petal-shaped compartments on differently colored lacework; on the rim a swastika pattern. A crack in the wall. Famille rose.
