About this work

Octagonal porcelain plate, painted on the glaze in blue, pink, green and black. On the flat a lotus-shaped compartment with in the center a medallion filled with lotus scroll; around the center in eight petal-shaped compartments also a lotus scroll; between the leaves lacework with a flower on a green ground; on the rim lacework on a pink ground. Wall has been broken. Famille rose.
