About this work

Cup and saucer of porcelain with a flaring wall, painted on the glaze in blue, red, pink, green and gold. On the flat of the saucer in the center a medallion formed of flower branches in a scalloped cartouche with stylized lotus; on the wall a band with flowering plants (peony) on lacework and three hanging pomegranates. The cup with a band of lacework with flowering plants (peony, lotus, prunus) with here cut out a band of compartments with a peony plant, below flower scrolls. Two cracks in the wall of the saucer; a crack in the wall of the cup. Famille rose.
