About this work

Bell-shaped bowl of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze red, green, aubergine, black and white with rocks and flowers against a background of café-au-lait. The outside of the bowl with rocks and blooming magnolias and peonies; the inside of the bowl with a single peony. On the underside the six-character mark of Emperor Chenghua in a double circle in underglaze blue. Famille verte with a monochrome brown glaze.
