About this work
Cylindrical vase (roller) of porcelain with a narrow, spreading neck, painted in underglaze blue. On the body, a dignitary in a landscape with a servant holding an umbrella behind him. Next to him are four more servants. A man offers a vase with halberds on a tray to the dignitary. In the landscape are rocks, willows, pines, and banana trees. On the neck, a band with pointed leaf motifs. The underside is unglazed. Transitional porcelain in blue and white.
