About this work

Porcelain cup painted in underglaze blue. On the wall of the cup a seated woman (long-lipped) and a dancing boy (fool) by a vegetated rock; on the bottom a symbol of good fortune (shell); on the inner rim six treasures (mugwort leaf, rhombus, scroll, pearl, books, open rhombus). Cup marked on the underside with the six-character mark of Emperor Xuande in a double circle. Blue and white.
