About this work
Cup of porcelain with flaring wall, painted in underglaze blue. On the exterior, a woman (long lijs) sitting on a rock with a twig in her hand; next to her a boy (zotje) and a larger rock with plants. On the bottom, a river landscape with mountains. The inner rim with hatching. Marked on the underside with the four-character mark of Emperor Chenghua in a double circle. Blue and white.
