Square bowl of porcelain with flattened corners, painted in underglaze blue. On the walls each a woman (lady) in a landscape by a tree (banana plant, pine, willow, paulownia). On the corners lacework with a ruyi motif. On the bottom a square cartouche with indented corners with three dancing boys (clowns) in a landscape. Marked on the underside with the six-character mark of Emperor Chenghua in a double circle. Blue and white.
