About this work
Red copper teapot on a warming pan, with an S-shaped spout, flat lid with a lid knob and a movable, modelled brass handle wrapped in rattan. Painted on both sides with ladies in a landscape: one lady is accompanied by a child and two maids carrying respectively a wrapped lute and a basket. On the other side, a lady sits at a table with a child holding a pomegranate at her knee; a second woman plays the flute and a third woman stands at the table preparing the censer. Around the shoulder an ornamental band with lacework.
