About this work

Formal kimono for a girl for her first visit to a Shinto shrine (miyamairi kimono), decorated with spinning tops of various sizes against a dark and light blue checkered background. Blue crepe silk (chirimen) with stenciled yuzen decoration in blue, yellow and various shades of green and orange. Lining of pink crepe silk (chirimen).
