About this work

Porcelain plate with a flat rim, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black, and gold. On the flat surface a flower basket in a circle with a geometric motif and flowers; around the circle lotus-leaf-shaped compartments filled with flower sprigs against a green ground with black dots and flowers; the rim with various geometric motifs alternating with cartouches containing symbols of good fortune; the underside with flower sprigs. Marked on the underside with an artemisia leaf in a double circle. A crack in the rim; the rim has multiple chips. Famille verte.
