About this work
Bottle-shaped porcelain vase, painted in underglaze blue and red and on the glaze blue, red, green, yellow and black. Originally only decorated with the three shishi (lion dogs), in Europe three playing boys and flower branches were added to the body, on the shoulder hanging cartouches filled with lotus scrolls and on the rim hanging pointed leaf motifs added. Two chips in the rim. Underglaze blue with copper red. Over-decorated (Amsterdam polychrome).
