About this work

Saucer of a bowl and lid of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. Continuous scene of an enclosed terrace with two pairs of women (long gowns) depicted, and four palm trees and two banana plants. On the reverse side three peach branches. Base marked with the six-character mark of Emperor Kangxi in a double circle. A crack and a chip in the rim of the saucer. Blue and white.
