About this work

Bowl with lid and saucer of porcelain with half-flower-shaped handles in biscuit, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze silver. On the bowl a continuous scene of an enclosed terrace with two pairs of women (long gowns), a palm tree and a banana plant. Base marked with the six-character mark of Emperor Kangxi in a double circle. Handles later silvered in Europe. Blue and white.
