About this work

Bowl (cracked-mut) of porcelain with a scalloped rim, painted in underglaze blue. The outer wall is divided into four compartments, alternately filled with flowering plants by a rock and valuables, antiquities and lucky objects (artemisia leaf, vase with peacock feathers, scrolls, books, crane, etc.). On the bottom flowering plants by a rock. The inner wall is also divided into four compartments with in each a flower branch; between the compartments a swastika pattern. The outer rim with four times a floral scroll. Marked on the underside with the character 'yù' in a double circle. Blue and white.
