About this work
Bowl (folding cap) of porcelain with a scalloped rim, painted in underglaze blue. The outer wall is divided into four compartments, alternatingly filled with flowering plants by a rock and treasures, antiquities, and lucky objects (artemisia leaf, vase with peacock feathers, scrolls, books, censer, etc.). On the bottom flowering plants by a rock. The inner wall is also divided into four compartments with a floral branch in each; between the compartments a swastika pattern. The outer rim with four floral scrolls. Marked on the underside with the character 'yù' in a double circle. A chip and two cracks in the rim. Blue-and-white.
