About this work
Bottle-shaped vase of porcelain, with a pear-shaped body and trumpet-shaped neck, painted in underglaze blue. On the body, two broad bands with lotus scrolls separated by a decorative band; around the foot, a band with scrollwork in compartments; on the neck, a band with a meander motif with above it a band with pointed leaf motifs. Marked on the underside with a four-character Ming mark in a double circle. The neck has been broken and restored with four staples; a crack and a chip in the rim. Ming porcelain in blue and white.
