About this work

Plate with a round wall of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue and red. On the flat, a representation of two people in a landscape; possibly the person with an object in his hand is one of the Eight Immortals, Li Tie-guai, with a gourd-shaped bottle and bats as his attributes; the underside with two bamboo branches. Marked on the underside with a flower in a double circle. A crack in the rim; a chip in the rim. Underglaze blue with copper red.
