Dish with bleu poudré and figures on a terrace

Plate of porcelain with upright sides and sloping rim, decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black, and gold. The front of the plate is covered with bleu poudré (powdered blue) with a large reserved field on the flat surface filled with three figures on an enclosed terrace with rocks and two trees, a scholar playing a qin at a table, a woman sitting at a table before a bed, a servant with a bowl on a tray; the sides with a gold decoration on blue with floral rosettes and scrolls; the rim with a gold decoration on blue with a geometric pattern, within which eight compartments contain antiquities (censer, ruyi scepter), treasures (pearl, diamond, music stone, horns), Buddhist symbols of good fortune (conch), and (mythological) animals in a landscape (crab, deer, roosters, fish, bird, and shishi/lion dog). Marked on the underside with two fish in a double circle. Rim damaged. Bleu poudré with famille verte.
