Ewer with flower sprays and spout shaped like a feng huang

Porcelain jar with molded walls, a flaring neck with a turned-over, ribbed rim and a spout in the form of a feng huang. Painted on the glaze in red, green, yellow, aubergine and black. The wall divided into four large panels with flower branches (lotus, peony, prunus, chrysanthemum) and six smaller panels with geometric pattern or lacework; on the shoulder loose flowers against a black-spotted green ground; the lower part of the neck with the four flower branches in panels, above, separated by a meander band, four panels with lacework; the rim with flower scrolls; on the foot a band with lotus branches in panels; above the foot a band with molded lotus leaves. Lid missing. Famille verte.
