About this work
Baluster-shaped vase of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. On the wall a continuous river landscape with various persons: the meeting of a high-ranking official and his wife with a hermit. The official is with retinue. On the neck bamboo branches, plum branches and a rock. Marked with the six-character mark of Emperor Xuande in a double circle. A chip in the rim. Blue and white.
