About this work

Egg-shaped lidded jar of porcelain on a high foot with a ring-shaped thickening, painted in underglaze blue. On the wall, six modeled compartments, each containing a woman (long robe) or a flower vase (lotus, chrysanthemum); below, six smaller modeled compartments with floral and fruit branches; the foot with floral and fruit branches; on the neck, a band with a meander motif above which pointed leaves. Blue-and-white.
