About this work

Bell-shaped porcelain bowl with a lobed rim, painted in underglaze blue. The wall is modeled in three layers of flower-leaf-shaped compartments with therein different flowering plants (lotus, peony, plum, chrysanthemum) and thereby in some compartments a bird or butterfly. On the bottom a flowering plant near a rock with two birds. The inner wall with four times a flowering plant near a rock. On the inner rim a band with lacework interrupted by five times a lobed cartouche with a flower branch (lotus, plum, peony). Some chips in the rim. Blue-and-white.
