About this work

Porcelain dish, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black and gold. On the flat center a medallion with stylized flower branches and a band of ruyi motif; the wall with incised scrolls; on the rim four lobed cartouches with either a deer by a pine tree or a crane by a prunus branch, between the cartouches either a bird on a magnolia branch or a kingfisher on a lotus plant, both against a black-spotted green ground; the rim with lacework and a swastika pattern on either side of a flower branch; the back with two incised flower branches. A crack in the rim. Old labels on the underside with '6. 14/4/05' and '8'. Famille verte.
