About this work
Lid of a porcelain tureen, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, black and gold. Depicting large floral branches (peony, chrysanthemum); on the rim a band of lacework alternating with a peony flower and a shrimp or fish in a cartouche; on the base a peony branch with a butterfly; the rim has a band with a floral pattern, below which a band with a ruyi motif. The lid has been broken. Famille verte.
