About this work

Porcelain ewer with an egg-shaped body, C-shaped handle, and small, triangular spout on the rim. Decorated in underglaze blue. On the belly, three scalloped cartouches; in two of them, a person in a river landscape with trees and rocks, and in one, two birds on a tree branch; between the cartouches, scrolls. The neck and handle are decorated with floral scrolls. A hole in the upper side of the handle. Arita, blue and white.
