About this work
Plate of porcelain in the form of a quatrefoil with lobed rim, painted in underglaze blue. On the flat a river landscape with a rider and two walking people on a bridge. In the background houses, trees and clouds. The inner rim is with a blue band. Marked on the underside with the six-character mark of Emperor Chenghua. One foot on the underside. Arita, blue and white.
