Apollo gives his child Asclepius, whom he cut from Coronis' womb after shooting her dead, to the centaur Chiron. In the background, Chiron's daughter can be seen turning into a horse after predicting the future of Asclepius and her father. Below the image, two times two lines of verse in Latin.
