About this work
Tiresias strikes two copulating snakes in a forest. Thereupon he changes into a woman. In the background, eight autumns later, he strikes the same snakes in the guise of a woman to change back into his male body. Below the representation, two times two lines of verse in Latin. The print is part of an album.
