Book with 81 woodcuts in a contemporary leather binding with brass clasp and carrying ring. The book contains the Christian history of salvation in prints: from creation, the Fall, the life of Mary, the life and passion of Christ to the resurrection, ascension, Pentecost, and the Last Judgment. Additionally, the book contains two depictions of Mary as Queen of Heaven on the crescent moon. A large part of the prints were made by Jacob Cornelisz. van Oostsanen and are part of his series: The Little Passion. At the very back, the first part of the Gospel according to Matthew is included in Dutch (Matt. 1: 1-17), preceded by a title page (2 pages). One parchment flyleaf with recto and verso handwriting in Latin at the front and back. It is a series in which the images tell the story. As the title of this edition indicates (Stomme passye), this book contains almost no text but mainly images.
