Boy and girl by a birdcage. According to the accompanying text, the girl is dressed in a wool redingote. Underneath she wears a silk bodice and a white muslin skirt, under which is a blue silk skirt. Accessories: hat with ribbon, shoes with bows. The boy is dressed in a loose-fitting wool redingote. Underneath he wears a silk sailor suit, consisting of a waistcoat and long trousers. Accessories: hat with feather, sash with fringes around the waist, shoes with bows. On his right hand a bird, in his left hand a flower. The print is part of the 23rd Cahier from Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 15 November 1785 – 1 November 1786.
